Good Leadership

Assaamualaikum Wr. Wb.

Good morning.

My name is Arjuno, from SMAN 5 Tangerang Selatan. Today I want to give speech about good leadership.

I thank God for giving the heath and time to share a knowledge about good leadership.

Ladies and gentleman,

What is the meaning about good leadership? What do you know about good leadership. I’m sure that you all often hearing about good leadership. For me, good leadership is a character that everyone must be have it, because a leader is a lead for any other that he lead. 

Ladies and gentleman,

I take a good leadership meaning from an expert. He is James M. Black (1961), he said that leadership is the ability to be able to convince other people that worked under him as a team to achieve a specific goal.

Ladies and gentleman,

How to be get a good leadership.  I will show you how. The characteristics of a good leadership is :

First, he must be a responsible people, not just for himself, but for the other that he lead, because if he cannot responsible himself, so he cannot be a lead for any other. All of his promise must be real. Second, he must be a honest people, because if he is always lie, people cannot trust himself to be a leader. Third, he is not a miserly man in knowledge, because a leader is someone who always inform or warn something that must to do or not. Forth, he must be a clever man. He must be decide what is the good decision for a crucial problem that cannot be solve by negotiation. Last but not least, he must be a consistent people, and not to decide one thing that doesn’t have a connection with his motto, vission, and mission.

Ladies and gentleman,

The example of a leadership that good for us is like our prophet Muhammad SAW. He is a great model of a good leadership. He is always patient to confront a refusal from the people that doesn’t believe him. And he is a humble man, although he is a perfect human that protected from mistake. And there are still many good leader in this world.

Ladies and gentleman,

The example of a not good leadership is like Robin Hood. He is a great leader, but he is steal from the rich people to distribute for the poor people. Steal is a crime, so that’s why Robin Hood including of a not good leadership model. And there are still many more example of a not good leadership, like a pirate, an authoritarian government, etc.

Ladies and gentleman,

The conclusion that we can take from this speech is : Good leadership is a kind of a good character that everyone must be have, because if there are no leader in this world, we cannot have a model that we can follow.
